Exploring colors through interactive children's picture books!

Painting River Rocks

We often paint to celebrate the all the colors of the nations. In fact, most of our homeschool days are just full of painting, and we feel quite accomplished on those days!  Our walls are filled with the kids’ creations and our hearts are filled with the love of colors!

My recent favorite painting day was the day we painted river rocks.  The day evolved from one adventure to another–we started out for a Sunday drive when we found a creek to play in and in the creek, the rocks asked us to take them home!  We played for another half hour just washing the rocks upon our return, and then we started pulling out the paint and brushes.  Here is a glimpse of the final products:

Another adventure-filled day enjoying nature and adding more color into our lives.

When was the last time you took a drive and let it take you on an adventure?
